Indian Head Massage
with Marma Therapy

Soothing. Grounding. Revitalizing
What is an Ayurvedic Indian Head Massage with Marma Therapy?
This is not your average head massage. It is a holistic healing ritual rooted in ancient Ayurvedic wisdom.
-
Ayurvedic Indian Head Massage is a traditional healing practice from India, rooted in the 5,000-year-old system of Ayurveda.
-
It focuses on massaging the scalp, neck, and shoulders using warm herbal oils to balance energy and support overall well-being.
-
Treatment includes both the beautiful ritual of Shirodhara, a calming stream of oil poured the third eye along with a mini Ayurvedic Facial using calming herbs and Marma activation on the face.
-
Originally practiced as part of daily self-care in Indian households, it was used to promote healthy hair, reduce stress, and enhance mental clarity.
-
This treatment is a thoughtful integration of Marma Therapy across the head, face, shoulders, chest, and back key areas where stress and energetic stagnation accumulate. Combined with warm herbal oils, spiritual intention, and therapeutic touch, this massage nurtures the body, mind, and spirit.
What is Marma Therapy?
In Ayurveda, Marma points are considered to be the gateways between the physical, mental and the energetic system. Each point connects to specific organs, tissues, emotions, and systems in the body.
By using gentle pressure, circular massage, and intention, Marma Therapy supports the free flow of prana (life force energy) helping to release blockages, regulate the nervous system, and restore balance from within.

What happens at your first appointment?
When you arrive for your Ayurvedic spa service, you’ll be welcomed into a calm and soothing environment. Here’s what you can expect:
At the beginning of your session, we will ask a few simple questions to get a sense of your natural constitution (dosha). This allows us to choose the right oils, pressure, and techniques for your unique needs. You’ll also be invited to set a personal intention for the session whether it’s releasing stress, welcoming clarity, or simply cultivating a sense of peace.
The treatment begins with an aura cleanse using the sacred smoke of Kashmiri rose dhoop sticks to clear heaviness and stagnant energy.
From there, we’ll move through:
-
Marma point activation: gentle stimulation of Ayurvedic energy points to release tension and restore balance.
-
Upper chest and shoulder massage with a heart-centered blessing.
-
Back marma points aligned with the seven chakras.
-
Shirodhara: a calming stream of warm oil poured over the forehead (third eye) to quiet the mind and soothe the nervous system.
-
Head massage and third eye prayer to deepen relaxation.
-
Ayurvedic facial care: herbal cleanser, serum, and moisturizer with facial pressure point massage.
-
Closing sequence: a short back massage and final marma points, with your hair gently cleansed, wrapped, and cared for.
You’ll leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and supported — inside and out.
