Reiki hands

Reiki is a spiritual healing art originating in Japan. Reiki, meaning “universal light energy.” It is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice.

It is not massage, nor is it based on belief or suggestion.

It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.

What is Reiki?

Everything is energy baby!

Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. Reiki Practitioners are trained to harness that energy to activate the healing energy within the people they treat. It is believed that this energy is free-flowing when a person’s body and mind are in a positive state of health. When this energy becomes weak or blocked, it can manifest as physical or emotional ailments.

What can a Reiki session do?

Let's just start with relaxation...

A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate healing on all levels. Sessions are pleasant and soothing, helping reduce stress, anxiety, excess tension build-up, and chronic pain. Additionally, Reiki helps those who suffer from chronic headaches, insomnia, and chronic fatigue.

How do sessions work?

Close your eyes and rest.

Reiki sessions can be done in person or at a distance.

In-person sessions begin with a brief interview and intake to determine the most beneficial areas of focus for the session. The Prism Healing Centre subscribes to the IARP Code of Ethics, and in-person sessions are performed on a massage table with the client always fully clothed.  Other therapies such as the Crystal Light Bed and/or Pulse Emitting Magnetic Frequency Mat (PEMF) can be used simultaneously based on client need. Appointments are follow up with a short discussion of insights and any recommendations for home care.

Distance Reiki sessions begin with a brief interview, by phone or video call, and intake to determine the most beneficial areas of focus, as in-person. At the scheduled time, the client should be in a location where they are able to lie down and relax quietly while treatment begins. At the end of the session, the practitioner will talk with the client via phone or video call for a short discussion of insights and any recommendations for home care.
